1) SIBT students can get access to the wireless network
2) They get access to the network and catalogue only, not to Library Databases.
3) They access the wireless through MacquarieOneNet (not Macquarie Public or any other)
4) Their usernames and passwords are supplied by SIBT- students must go to SIBT office in order to get these passwords. Student IT help cannot assist with this.
5) Any IT related issues for SIBT students should ordinarily be sent to SIBT for assistance, rather than Student IT help.

SIBT and Database access
1. SIBT students do not have access to eReserve. This material is selected by Macquarie University lecturers for Macquarie Uni students undertaking specific units. Copyright restrictions limit access to current MQU staff and students. SIBT students can borrow books from Reserve, located on Level 2 of the Library. Reserve is a set of physical resources, which is separate to eReserve (an electronic service).
2. SIBT students can access the Macquarie University Library databases with these restrictions:
a. SIBT students must use the Library's public PCs (located on desks on Levels 1 and 2 of the library).
b. SIBT student need to use their OneID to log on: Username = SIBT student ID number Password = SIBT wireless account password.
c. SIBT students cannot use their laptops to connect to the databases (ie they cannot access the Wireless via the MU student access). They must use the library's public PCs. It is a contractual obligation to the database owners that remote access (which includes laptops used in campus) is available only to current Macquarie staff and students. SIBT students can use their laptops to connect to the internet eg: to access emails or the SIBT Portal.
