Autoloaders - Troubleshooting

1. Rejecting cards.

The cards should be lightly pushed into the Autoloader and they should be accepted immediately or it will display the message asking to re-try or try again. Then the user should try to insert the card again. If after 3 attempts it fails to be accepted, then there is an issue with the card itself and the card should be re-encoded
at the service desk / print desk. This applies to all Autoloaders in the building.




2. Stuck Cards


If the card is stuck in the Autoloader (often because it has been put in upside down), turn off the Autoloader at the powerpoint. Wait 10 seconds then turn on again. As part of its start-up check, it should reject the card. NB: at least two blank receipts will come out during this process. Discard them.

If the card still does not come out, it will be necessary to open the Autoloader to retrieve it.
