Recycling electronic waste

From the University's Waste Page:
http://www.mq.edu.au/about_us/strategy_and_initiatives/sustainability/areas_of_focus/waste/

The new media recycling station located at the entrance to the MUSRA office in C10A (Campus Hub) replaces the previous mobile phone and battery recycling boxes. This media bin is available for use by staff and students. Items that can be recycled through this bin include batteries, mobile phones, audio tapes, hard drives, computer data / magnetic data, DVDs, CDs, USB sticks, memory cards, tapes, video tapes, micro film, computer diskettes, and laser disks.

Additionally, in support of the You Can intiative, you can pick up a mobile phone recycling envelope to recycle your old phones through the post free - it will help fund youth cancer specialist networks and facilities around Australia.

Thanks to Brendan for this information.
