Google Docs is an Google application that allows clients to create share and view documents. Due to incompatibility, our problem occurs when a client tries to print out a Google Doc in the Library.
The Print Stations will attempt to print the file but fail. The credit will be deducted and the file will 'stick' in the file queue, needing to be cleared.
The solution:
1. Contact the Service Coordinator to restore the credit and clear the print queue.
2. Advise the client to always convert Google Docs to pdfs before attempting to print them.
To convert to pdf: File - Save As - then change Save as Type to PDF (*.pdf)
Library IT is investigating how to resolve this.
