·         Make sure the client reads the conditions of use and completes all details and signs the form.

·         File completed form in designated transparent sheet (for Eugenia to process).

·         Tell the client that his/her campus card will be encoded for Brunner access in about 5 working days.

Brunner Retrieval for Undergraduates

Macquarie Undergraduate students studying Ancient History subjects are allowed to view Brunner items in the same way as Restricted Access Collection items.
The student must have their campus card with them and confirm their course code (they can look it up in iLearn if they don't know it)

Process for retrieving items from Brunner for Ancient History Undergraduates
  • Verify enrolment in Ancient History subjects, have the student fill in a Brunner Retrieval Request form & advise them it will be available within 30 minutes.
  • Go to the Brunner room (do NOT allow Undergraduate students into the Brunner room) and locate the item.
  • Fill in the log book, include a jacket, a red 'one day loan' slip and a photocopying request form with each item. If the student is not waiting at the desk, leave the item on the Brunner Collection Shelf (next to the ARC pickup shelves).
  • Lend the item(s) to the student as per usual restricted access collection procedures and escort the student to the Supervised Reading Desks.
  • Discharge items when the client is finished and leave in the assisted copy hub for photocopying.
  • If no photocopying is requested, mark the item returned in the Brunner log book and leave on the table in Brunner room for re-shelving.
A full copy of the process and request forms are available in the Brunner folder at service zone 3.
