Self-Check machines - troubleshooting

If the Self-Check machine red laser light turns off, there are two possible ways to fix it:

1. Use the swipe/key held at the Service Zone desks to open the receipt roll cover. Wait until the machine goes 'out of service'. Close and lock the cover. This will generally restore the red light. (Thanks to Chloe Long for this suggestion).



2. If this fails, the longer way to fix it is to turn off the machine, then turn it back on again. When it reboots, the red light will come back.
