The Ezproxy server provides staff and students access to the online databases. It is maintained by University IT.
If remote access to Library services is lost, report this to the Service Coordinator so they can report it to Library It.
Note that not all remote access problems relate to the Ezproxy. There can be multiple causes, but advise the Service Coordinator after any report clients are having problems with remote access.
While you are waiting for service to be restored (if the problem is due to Ezproxy), staff and students on campus who want to access online databases from within the University network can be advised to follow the instructions below.
Example:
To access the AATD base from the database list on the Library’s website the user is directed to the following web address:
http://simsrad.net.ocs.mq.edu.au/login?url=http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=AATD
Simply remove the first portion of the web address to access the database. So the web address in this example would become:
http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=AATD
Remote access is not possible while the Ezproxy server is down.
