Turnitin

Registering on Turnitin for Academic staff:

A lecturer who wishes to use the system needs to first register themselves on the system. They do this by going to the 'New users' button on the turnitin website http://www.turnitin.com/
They are then presented with a screen and they select 'instructor' as the type of account they want to set up. They are then asked for the account and password details.

Account number: 32308
Password: lighthouse2

After creating an account for themselves using the details above, they then go and set up a course in Turnitin. Doing this will generate a password that they provide to their students so that the students are able to submit work to Turnitin for that unit.

Note that because of this, any student queries concerning problems accessing Turnitin or password queries related to Turnitin must be referred back to the lecturer for that unit.
