Map Assignments - Useful Information

This information relates to a number of assignments over the past four years that used maps. The information on each assignment is listed here as a convenient starting point:

1. GEOS115 - topographic map of the Katherine region and Mt Todd gold mine. There are two maps in the Map Collection that they can use:
Katherine 1:100,000 topographic map G8960.s100.A8 sheet number 5369
Katherine 1:250,000 topographic map G8960.s250.A82 sheet number SD53-9

2. Damian Gore - Physical Geography Assignment using 1:25,000 topographic map for the Pokolbin area. Use the Cessnock 91 32-2N map.
Held in the vertical map cabinets on level 1 at G8970 s-25.L6 sheet 9132-2N ed 3.
There are also earlier editions if historical comparison is required.

3. Biology assignment (Jim Kohen) - Vegetation of the Parramatta area.

The Sydney 1:25 000 vegetation map at Map G8964.S9.D2/1994.B46

Jim Kohen has written a number of articles on this subject.
